HardieScreen™ lattice

What is it?

A ‘simple to fix’ screening device that’s manufactured in fibre cement flat
sheets with a square or diamond pattern.

Where do you use it?

To create privacy, ventilation, shade and charm in areas like gazebos,
veranda enclosures, garden fences and gable ends.

What are the key benefits?

     

    • Easy to cut, frame, install and paint.
    • Resistant to damage from moisture, termites, rotting and fire when
      installed and maintained correctly to the extent set out in James
      Hardie’s published literature current at the time of installation.
    • Can be painted dark colours.
    • No nails or staples to rust or stain.

FAQ for HardieScreen™ lattice

Can I use HardieScreen™ Lattice as a balustrade on a first story balcony?

 

No, HardieScreen™ Lattice is not suitable for upper story balconies or stairway balustrading.

Can I put HardieScreen™ Lattice in straight in the ground to form a screen?

No, it is recommended that the sheet be kept clear of the ground, and installed on a frame as per the technical manual.

I have a requirement from my local council that my HardieScreen® Lattice needs a certain percentage of solid screening. Does HardieScreen™ Lattice comply?

After obtaining the requirement from council, Ask James Hardie through Ian Moses in Technical in relation to the percentages.

 I would like to use HardieScreen™ Lattice as a decorative feature on the top of my fence. Is this product suitable?

Yes, as long as it is installed onto one of the framing recommendations. Please see the technical guide for further information.
